How lash wholesale pricing tiers work: 500, 1,000 and 5,000 pieces
Lash wholesale pricing tiers are a ladder: the more units you order, the lower the price per unit. On most lists the breaks sit at 500–999, 1,000–4,999 and 5,000+ units. The tier is set by the total order quantity, not by a single style. Knowing where the breaks are, and what actually moves cost between them, is how you plan an order that lands on the tier you want.
How the ladder is built
A price list usually shows one unit price for each tier, and that price falls as quantity rises. The break points are fixed: 500–999, then 1,000–4,999, then 5,000 and above. Which tier you are in is decided by the total number of boxes across the whole order, so several styles can combine to reach a higher tier.
The tiers in practice
These are the mechanics behind the published ladder.
- 500–999 boxes — the entry tier; the highest unit price, the lowest cash outlay
- 1,000–4,999 boxes — the middle tier; usually where print and freight spread further
- 5,000+ boxes — the lowest unit price; best when a style has proven it sells
- Per-model minimum — 50 boxes per style, so one style cannot carry a whole order
- Order step — quantities move in steps of 10, so a tier boundary is easy to hit exactly
What actually moves your unit cost
Quantity is only one lever. Two orders at the same tier can differ in cost if these change.
- Fibre — synthetic fibre versus imported fibre
- Construction — cluster spec, density, curl and length add material and time
- Band type — a hard band or a cotton thread band is not the same as a clear band
- Packaging — a pouch, a sleeve and a rigid box sit at very different prices
- Print and finish — colour, foil and lamination each add cost
Do not buy quantity you cannot sell
Reaching a higher tier only saves money if the extra stock sells before it goes stale. Buying up a tier to chase a lower unit price ties cash up in inventory and can cost more than the discount is worth. The tier is a target, not an instruction: order the quantity your sell-through supports, and move up when demand proves the reorder.
Planning an order around the tiers
Start from the tier you want, then work backwards to the styles. If your budget reaches the 1,000–4,999 tier, spread it across a small number of proven styles rather than many untried ones, and keep the count per style above the 50-box minimum. Deeper stock in fewer styles is almost always the safer first order.
When a quotation makes the tiers concrete
Published break points are a guide; the final price depends on your material, packaging and delivery schedule, and is confirmed by email or WhatsApp. Ask for a written quote at two adjacent tiers for the same specification, so you can see exactly what the step up is worth before you commit.
